URBAN IMPACT LOGO
The team was sponsored by Urban Impact, a marketing company in Bristol. Through this sponsorship deal it was decided that the team’s name should reflect the sponsors name so Impact Squad was chosen. An all white strip was chosen as the team’s colours.
The team was formed from students from the University Of The West Of England. Muller road in Horfield was chosen as Impact's home ground as it was local for the players. After a mad scramble for players in the summer and a few training sessions at Frenchay campus Impact Squad was formed and ready for the season ahead.

On September the 3rd 2005 Impact played it’s first game against Greyfriars Athletic 'A' at Muller Road. Many of the students traveled back to Bristol early to play the game. Some far away as North Wales and Kent. On a Hot sweltering day Impact battled hard putting in a good first half performance but went down 5-1 by the end. It was a gallant effort considering before the game some players had never met.
It was a start of the roller coaster for Impact. It became apparent that Impact needed better organising on the pitch and Coach Simon Kay stepped into the fray mid-September. Recently moved to Bristol from working at soccer Schools in America he took control of training and tactics. With Coach Kays footballing knowledge and enthusiasm Impact started to improve on the pitch. By the end of September Impact got it's first win in the cup. But it was not in till the 29th October that Impact won it’s first league game.
The season was a rollercoaster of a ride. Inconsistency was the thorn in Impact side. Whilst playing good football under Coach Kay too much inexperience showed. Thrown away leads, lack of concentration and school boys errors were too often seen in Impacts play. The team ended up finishing 10th.
The second season saw a new influx of players which saw a dramtic improvment in Impact's fortunes. It reached the semi-final of the cup and was promoted.
